I've been googling around for breakfast menu, for d past few days. Looking for something different to be served to my family. So, this was d result.. It was our last weekend's breakfast.
Very popular breakfast in Johor.
Let me introduce you to Kacang Pol / Kacang Foul / Kacang Parang.

It is to be taken with toasted bread. Garnished with sliced green chilli & onion. And also being topped with telor mata kerbau. BUT as for my version, i topped with d half boiled egg.
7 ulas bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih
1 1/2 sb jintan kasar (sangai)
1 1/2 sb ketumbar (sangai)
1 tin kacang foul - half, u blend & d other half u just mash a bit
1 cawan daging kisar
1 sk serbuk cili (optional - kalau nak pedas)
1. Blend halus bwg merah + bwg putih + ketumbar + jintan kasar.
2. Tumiskan bahan- bahan yg dikisar tadi sehingga pecah minyak dan naik bau.
3. Masukkan daging kisar.
4. Masukkan kacang mashed & blended kacang foul.
5. Put in garam & serbuk cili, as per your taste.
6. Let it boil for a while.
7. Then, done.
Original resepi, they will use minyak sapi untuk menumis dan menggoreng telor mata kerbau tu. For a nice aroma, i guess.. Tapi, i guna butter untuk menumis & as i told earlier, I made half boiled egg to accompany d kacang foul.
Taste good to me. Unfortunately, it was not my kids' taste. They seem do not like the Kacang Pol but they really went mad with d half boiled eggs.
I end up, prepared half boiled eggs for them, without the Kacang Pol.
