SAY HELLO TO MY kouign-amann

kouign-amann (pronounced kween a-mon). The name derives from the Breton words i.e. kouign =cake & amann = butter. It is the specialty of the town in the west of France.

How do i get to know about this kouign-amann? I started to google about it after being challenged by my hubby.. He challenged me to make kougn-amann after watched them in Life Inspired (LI) Astro Channel 707.



So, kween a-monn, ANYONE?

Brief descriptions about kouign-amann.. IT IS A FOLDED PASTRY CAKE OVELOADED WITH BUTTER AND SUGAR. TURN OUT TO BE A CHEWY, SUGARY, BUTTERY AND CARAMELY CAKE.

Just that, i m not very sure whether my kween a-monn turned out as it suppose to be....????!!! Ada banyak version of this kween a-monn.. My hubby and kids kata sedap.. delicious... superb gitu. Credit to David Lebovitz's recipe then.

Conclusion, u guys should try the recipe.. Sedap gilassss.. Nak buatnya, dapur & oven memang akan berkecah sikit la...
