CUCUR BADAK SERUNDING UDANG KERING

Last Sunday, gi shopping groceries ngan my hubby. My boyfriend ni teringin nak makan ubi kayu rebus & bubur kacang hijau (i dah buat dah last weekend, tapi tak dan nak snap photo... dah kolu innalillah).
Tengah dok pilih ubi kayu, ubi keledek kat bakul sebelah tu melambai-lambai je, mintak dibeli agaknya..  Cantik pulak si keledek tu. Nak tak nak, tangkap juga lah dalam sekilo..

At that particular time, I still got nothing in mind of what to do with d sweet potato.. Nantilah, kita think of something or blog-walking to refresh.
Oraitt... let's decide.. Dah lama tak buat Cucur Badak, my boyfriend's favourite tu..
 Kuih Keria pun sedap gak.. My kids' favourite..
Normally, to be fair.. I akan buat both if i made the sweet potato dough.. cos my kids do not like spicy foods.
Mee Rebus pun ok gak...

So, dengan rajinnya.. terhasillah Cucur Badak 


and  KUIH KERIA


Ini Serunding Udang Kering, filling for d Cucur Badak.


Jom layan, resepinya pulak ya..

SERUNDING KELAPA UDANG KERING
Ingredients :
1 biji kelapa parut (putih sahaja)
1 genggam udang kering, rendam dan toskan                  }
20 tangkai cili kering (atau lebih jika nak pedas)           }
8 biji bawang merah                                                                   } dikisar halus
2 ulas bawang putih                                                                   }
3 batang serai                                                                               }
1/4 cawan air asam jawa - dikisar bersama bahan2 di atas                                                          
Garam dan gula secukup rasa 

CARA :
1. Kisar halus semua bahan, kecuali kelapa parut.
2. Masukkan bahan-bahan kisar dan kelapa di dalam kuali.
3. Masak dan kacau sehingga kering. Add in garam dan gula secukup rasa.


As for d sweet potato dough untuk, Cucur Badak & Kuih Keria :
1. Rebus ubi keledek sampai empuk.
2. Pas tu u lenyek / mashed them.
3. Add in flour bit by bit. Flour requirement will depends on the sweet potato texture. The orange sweet potato normally will require more flour compared to the yellow ones. Do not put extra flour, just nice to mould them only.

Next change kita buat Mi Rebus pulak ya..

    BREAKFAST -KACANG POL/FOUL

    I've been googling around for breakfast menu, for d past few days. Looking for something different to be served to my family. So, this was d result.. It was our last weekend's breakfast.

    Very popular breakfast in Johor.

    Let me introduce you to Kacang Pol / Kacang Foul / Kacang Parang.

    ini la dia rupa kacang parang dalam tin tu


    It is to be taken with toasted bread. Garnished with sliced green chilli & onion. And also being topped with telor mata kerbau. BUT as for my version, i topped with d half boiled egg.


    KACANG POL

    7 ulas bawang merah                
    4 ulas bawang putih                 
    1 1/2 sb jintan kasar (sangai)    
    1 1/2 sb ketumbar (sangai)       
    1 tin kacang foul - half, u blend & d other half u just mash a bit
    1 cawan daging kisar
    1 sk serbuk cili (optional - kalau nak pedas)


    Cara-cara :
    1. Blend halus bwg merah + bwg putih + ketumbar + jintan kasar.
    2. Tumiskan bahan- bahan yg dikisar tadi sehingga pecah minyak dan naik bau.
    3. Masukkan daging kisar.
    4. Masukkan kacang mashed & blended kacang foul.
    5. Put in garam & serbuk cili, as per your taste.
    6. Let it boil for a while.
    7. Then, done.

    Original resepi, they will use minyak sapi untuk menumis dan menggoreng telor mata kerbau tu.  For a nice aroma, i guess.. Tapi, i guna butter untuk menumis & as i told earlier, I made half boiled egg to accompany d kacang foul.


    Taste good to me. Unfortunately, it was not my kids' taste. They seem do not like the Kacang Pol but they really went mad with d half boiled eggs.
     I end up, prepared half boiled eggs for them, without the Kacang Pol.

    BISKUT DAHLIA - Special Request By My Son

    Last but not least.. my FINAL MISSION, to make BISKUT DAHLIA for my son.. 
    What a mission..



     Alhamdulillah..
    MISSIONS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED BY CNY, HAVE BEEN COMPLETED..

    It was a long time request from my youngest son, which I didn't manage to carry out.. 
    Bukan tak nak buat, tapi i believe u guys pun faham, nak buat biscuit ni.. nak kena tunggu mood juga.. Kalau tak kena mood, tak jadi u..

    Normally, it is compulsory to have his favourite's biskut dahlia during Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Haji.. This time around, he has been caught in Upin & Upin Hari Raya Episode in YouTube, whereby Kak Ros made the biscuit for Hari Raya. He will watch the episode on iPad everyday and he will show me the scene where Upin & Ipin were having the biscuits.. and he will every now and then, asked me "bila mama nak buat biskut ni.. bila mama nak buat biskut ni...?"

    Agak-agak larat tak nak dengar.. Rasa macam ada satu burden yang belum terlepas on my shoulder selagi tak buat biskut dahlia tu untuk dia..

    So, since I made d pineapple tarts for CNY, I made the Biskut Dahlia also for my beloved son.. 
    He was so happy, he started having d biscuits d minute they came out from oven..
