.... d continuation of New Year Eve's Dinner
Inspired by the famous Kenny Rogers roasted chicken, let us check it out my really easy recipe for d delicious ogyep's roasted chicken.
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
5 tsp minced garlic
3 tsp ground ginger
1tsp ground pepper
1tsp ground pepper
2 tsp chilli flakes
2 tbsp dried chopped parsley
2 tbsp dried chopped rosemary
1 tbs dried thyme
2 tbsp dried chopped rosemary
1 tbs dried thyme
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs sweet soy sauce
salt & sugar t taste

d marinated chicken.. ready to d oven..
Method:
1. To make the marinade, combined garlic, ginger, chilli flakes, parsley, thyme, rosemary, olive oil and lemon juice. Stir to combine thoroughly.
2. Rub marinade onto the chicken generously.
Place marinated chicken in a bowl and seal with glad wrap. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).
3. When chicken is ready to be cooked, preheat oven to 200C or 180C fan forced. Spray surface of a baking dish with spray cooking oil, place chicken onto the baking dish. Spray surface of chicken skin lightly with cooking oil.
4. Place baking dish into the oven and cook for approximately 50-60 minutes, depending on the oven.
5. Remove chicken from the oven.
6. Serves as preferred
I served my roasted chicken with mushroom gravy, coleslaw & garlic bread

ogyep's cOlEsLaW
Ingredients:
1 medium head green cabbage, cored and shredded
2 medium carrots, peeled and grated
2 tablespoons grated onion
2 cups mayonnaise

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
Method:
1. Place the cabbage, carrots, green pepper, and onion in a large bowl.

1. Place the cabbage, carrots, green pepper, and onion in a large bowl.
2. In another bowl, mix together all the remaining ingredients, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
3. Pour over the vegetables and toss well to combine.
4. Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours before serving for flavors to blend.

d ogyep's MuShRoOmS gRaVy..
Ingredients :
1 tablespoon of oil
2 yellow onions sliced into thin rings
1 can button mushroom (ogyep used Ayam Brand) - sliced
3 tbs flour
2 tbs ground black pepper
1 chicken stock cube
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
600ml hot water
Method :
1 tablespoon of oil

Method :
1. Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the onions and cook for a few minutes.
2. Quickly add in 3 tbs flour & quickly stir d flour to avoid it becomes crumble & burn.
3. Add half of the hot water.
4. Add the mushrooms and cook gently for about 30 seconds.
5. Next add the stock, soy sauce and black pepper. Bring to the boil and then let simmer for 10 minutes.
6. Add in chicken cube, dark soy sauce & black pepper.
7. Pour in d balanced water. Let simmer for another 20 minutes or thicken.
If not quite thick enough mix another dessertspoon of cornflour and water and add a bit at a time.
The gravy can be frozen before the thickening stage.
