SMOKED BEEF IN HOT COCONUT MILK BROTH / DAGING SALAI MASAK LOMAK CILI API

Smoked Beef In Hot Coconut Milk Broth is the specialty of Negeri Sembilan. It is a spicy rich yellow coconut gravy that is cooked with bird's eyes chillies.

This Smoked Beef In Hot Coconut Milk Broth or is also known as Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Api, is a must try recipe at home. If you cook it well, the rich gravy of coconut milk will be absorbed by the smoked beef and it’ll give a rich taste to the tongue. The beef is smoked but slightly moist in the presence of the gravy. Excellent taste serves with rice!

Selaluya kalau buat daging salai ni, ogyep cuma akan salai atas stove kat dapur je... So, definitely rasa dan baunya agak kurang gitu... 
Somewhere last week, Hubby went to Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. Kuala Pilah memang terkenal dengan daging salainya.. Dek kerana masak lomak cili api memang his favourite, dia pun tak lepaskan peluang membeli daging salai untuk dibuat masak lomak...

 So, ini lah hasilnya.. Aromanya... rasanya... memang kelassss gitu... 

ogyep suka tambah belimbing buluh untuk melengkapkan rasanya...
 jangan marah ya kalau ada yang terliur tengok belimbing tu..

SMOKED BEEF IN HOT COCONUT MILK BROTH / DAGING SALAI MASAK LOMAK CILI API
Ingredients:
Smoked beef (about half a kg or more)
10 bird's eyes chillies - roughly ground
1 inch ginger - roughly ground
1 inch fresh turmeric - roughly ground2 pinches of sliced turmeric leaves
1-2 ladles of coconut milk (fresh / boxed)
10 pcs Averrhoa Bilimbi / Belimbing Besi - cut halves (optional

Method :
1. Roughly ground the chillies, ginger & fresh turmeric.
2. Heat 2 table spoon of oil in a pot.
3. Add the grounded mixture & lightly saute’ them.
4. Next, add the turmeric leaves.
5. Place the meat into the pot.
6. Cook for at least another 10 minutes.
7. Add the coconut milk and cook it for another 5-7 minutes with a slow fire with constant stirring.
9. Season to taste and add bilimbi.
10.Ready to be served.

    boleh ker panggey gitu..terimakasih sudi singgah dan kenal selera kakasma..akak duk rembau..daging salai tu mmg ada dijual tapi seriously cakap akak tak pernah pong masak daging salai maska lomak tu,sebab mesti fail punye..org rembau kalau masak lauk nie mmg pior pekat dan sedap sangat..selalu makan time ada kenduri jer..mmg terbaek!!!
