MOIST SPRING ROLL / POPIAH BASAH

MOIST SPRING ROLL / POPIAH BASAH
Anyone out there is craving for Moist Spring Roll..??
Below recipe is d best ever recipe that u guys should try..
Resepi Popiah Basah ni, ogyep copy & paste from Bukan Sekadar Masakan  @ Jintan Manis.
According to Kak Ros, d original recipe was adapted from Kak Umi_E myresepi, with d step-by-step instructions.
TQVM to the owner of d recipe.
POPIAH BASAH / MOIST SPRING ROLL
Bahan Kulit / The Skin
2 cawan tepung gandum / 2 cups wheat flour
1 biji putih telor / 1 egg white
3/4 cawan air / 3/4 cup water
2 sudu makan cuka / 2 tbs vinegar
secubit garam / pintch of salt

CaraMethod :1. Campurkan kesemua bahan dalam mangkok adunan.
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
2. Gaulkan (macam buat cokodok) kemudian tutup dan biarkan sebentar
    sekurang-kurangnya 1/2jam.
Combined to a slightly sticky & gooey batter. Covered the bowl and leave to
    rest for half an hour
3. Panaskan kuali leper, api perlahan. Ambil sejemput dan lenserkan ke atas
    kuali leper.
Heat a flat pan on a slow heat. Using your hand, pick up a handful of batter
and flatten on d hot pan.
4. Buat dari arah jam.mulakan dari tepi dulu. Kemudian sapukan bahagian
Setelah rata - bulat
    biarkan sampai tepung masak sebentar.
Swirl d batter on d pan clock wise. You got to start from d outer to inner
part to form a nice thin & flatten flour skin. The skin is cooked once d batter
    is dry.
Once the flour skin cooked, remove it to a plate. You may stack d cooked
skins, as they won't stick to each other

  10. OMG! Let me recall, I think I haven't had popiah as long as since I came to Sydney 12 years ago & I miss this sooooooooo much. Is it difficult to make the skin? They are very thin skin & I have a feeling that I won't be able to make it but anyway, I'll keep this recipe in my cook list & give it a try in the future! Thanks for sharing & have a good weekend ahead! Cheers!
